What is Myofunctional therapy?

Myofunctional therapy is a specialized, non-invasive treatment that improves the function and coordination of the muscles of the tongue, lips, cheeks, jaw, and throat. Through targeted exercises and habit retraining, it helps establish healthier patterns for breathing, swallowing, chewing, speaking, and oral posture.

Proper oral muscle function plays an important role in overall health. Healthy tongue posture, lip seal, and nasal breathing can support dental alignment, jaw development, airway health, and sleep quality. Myofunctional therapy addresses underlying muscle habits and functional patterns to help improve oral function, breathing, and overall well-being.

Improve Your Breathing

& Airway Health

Myofunctional therapy encourages healthy nasal breathing and helps address habits that may contribute to airway restriction. By improving tongue posture, lip seal, and oral muscle function, therapy can support better airflow, oxygenation, and overall respiratory health.

These improvements may help reduce symptoms such as mouth breathing, snoring, and poor sleep quality, while supporting healthier airway function for both children and adults.
